Taxes and Spending
Protect Dutchess County Taxpayer Dollars with Conservative Fiscal Stewardship
As a proud public servant with over 10 years of experience in Dutchess County Government, I’ve worked hard to ensure our tax dollars are used wisely and responsibly. Under my leadership, Dutchess County has earned the highest bond rating of any county in New York State—an S&P-certified AA+ bond rating—a reflection of our strong financial management and stability. Even more importantly, we’ve reduced the County property tax rate for 10 consecutive years, easing the burden on working families, homeowners, and small businesses. I believe government should live within its means—because money doesn’t grow on trees. As your Comptroller, I will continue to fight waste, demand accountability, and keep our county finances strong for the long term.
Supporting Law Enforcement
Supporting Law Enforcement by Maximizing Public Safety Budgets
Growing up in a household where my father served as a Police K-9 handler, I saw firsthand the dedication, risks, and sacrifices that come with wearing the badge. That experience shaped my deep respect for law enforcement—and I will always Back the Blue. I’ll work side-by-side with the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office and local police departments to ensure they have the tools, training, and resources they need. That includes helping them access grants, stretch their budgets, and invest wisely in public safety. Fiscal responsibility and public safety go hand in hand—and I’ll make sure our communities stay safe without wasting a dollar.
Accountable Community Building
Partner with Local Governments & Non-Profits for Stronger, More Accountable Communities
Strong partnerships create stronger communities. I will be a reliable ally to our local municipalities and non-profits—offering guidance, an open door, and a listening ear. Whether it’s navigating complex financial regulations or brainstorming budget solutions, I will be a true partner in helping local organizations fulfill their missions while staying fiscally sound.
Efficient Project Oversight
Bring Practical Experience to Capital Projects Oversight
Small businesses have no choice but to live within their means—and I’ve lived that firsthand. Having spent nearly a decade working as an accountant for a local construction company, I’ve seen up close how often projects run over time and over budget. That kind of inefficiency is unacceptable when taxpayer dollars are on the line. As Comptroller, I’ll apply my hands-on experience to optimize the capital projects the County chooses to undertake, ensuring they are efficient, cost-effective, and beneficial to our residents. Every investment will be made with accountability and value in mind.
Financial Literacy Outreach
Engage Our Youth & Seniors to Promote Financial Literacy and Safeguard Against Scams
Financial literacy is essential for building stronger futures and safer communities. I will work with local schools, senior centers, and community organizations to educate our youth and protect our seniors—offering tools to understand budgeting, avoid scams, and navigate financial decisions confidently. As your Comptroller, I will not just be in the office—I will be out in our neighborhoods, working for you and with you.
Transparent Government Audits
Deliver Transparent, In-Depth Audits for Honest Government
Transparency isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a responsibility. As Comptroller, I will conduct in-depth audits of our County departments, programs, and areas of concern to ensure our government is working as efficiently and effectively as possible. I don’t care about political parties or ideology—my only loyalty is to the people of Dutchess County. With nearly 300,000 residents counting on us, I will fight every day to ensure our government delivers excellent results—no excuses, just accountability.
Strengthening our Youth
Invest in our youth through better education and programs
In order for our youth to grow, succeed and follow their dreams, we must invest in them and ensure that they are given the opportunity to thrive. Currently, our younger people are fleeing New York in favor of more affordable states where jobs are much more attractive. We are blessed with many great colleges and institutions in the Hudson Valley, but sadly, college graduates cannot afford to live in New York. Our youth need better education, and more available programs to expand their learning.
Protecting our Environment
The Hudson Valley’s natural beauty is a vital economic asset that needs protection to keep our environment clean and thriving for future generations.
Here in the Hudson Valley, our most special asset comes to us in the form of nature. With the Hudson River running alongside our communities, we are truly blessed with incredible scenery and tremendous destinations that attract millions of outside visitors every year, helping to stimulate our economy. As a member of the younger generation, I want to see our environment clean and thriving. We must protect our waters and our air in every way that we can.
